1. May’s Crush of the Month

Portland has been absolutley gorgeous these past couple weeks. Living somewhere twith so much rain, you tend to forget just how great the sun feels. Inspired by the loevly weather, I decided to make this month’s “Crush of the Month” a little raised garden bed. This is perfect for green-thumbs and garden gnomes alike. 2. Grayson Turns 2!

Living far away from family became quite hard when my nephew Grayson was born. I wish I could be there for every milestone, celebration, and big day! I took a quick trip to Denver to celebrate his second birthday and jumped on the opportunity to celebrate in style! We threw him a ‘Cakeasaurus’ party at a gorgeous local park and decorated with my ‘Cakeasaurus’ children’s party decor on Minted. The lovely and talented Anna Oertli photographed the party for us.

It was such a thrill to see this collection printed and all together. Minted’s quality is just phenomenal! From cupcake toppers to table confetti, each detail really made the party special.

We created our own “Cakeasauruses” by taking plastic dinosaurs and creating party hats and mini bunting banners for them to hold.

Judging by the frosting covered chin, I’d say Grayson enjoyed his big day!

Thanks again to Minted and Anna for making the party so special.

  3. Children’s Invites

After a long weekend in Colorado celebrating my nephew’s birthday (more on this to come!) I scrambled to put together a few entries for the Minted Birthday party challenge. Children are by far my favorite to design for and couldn’t imagine not at least trying to get a few submissions in before the deadline. If you’d like to take a peek and vote, follow the links below!

Party Trucks was inspired by my nephew and his love for dumping sand on himself…

  4. Baby Showers

It’s always fun to see your work around the web. The blog One Charming Party posted a baby shower invite round up, and “Baby Elephant” made the list. image

  5. Holiday Challenge

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to designing holiday cards in March. The flowers start to bloom, the temperatures rise, and the sun starts to shine—well, at least a little bit, it is Portland after all…

I do my best to get in the spirit, but it really is a struggle. Being a bit of a Minted addict, sitting out a challenge—especially a holiday challenge—is out of the question. So I put on Christmas Cats, pour a cup of something warm, and try to be merry!

I’d love for you to take a peek at the designs I submitted and vote if you’d like! There were 2 challenges going on—non photo holiday and corporate holiday.

I only submitted 1 design for the non-photo holiday. Hence the “christmas cats” music being inspirational :)

    “Meowy Christmas”

I entered several more to the corporate holiday challenge. They were looking for non-denominational designs and were hoping for spots on the card where a company could use their logo.

  6. Bookworm Buddy

This month’s free printable 3D calendar for Crush is a “Bookworm Buddy” in honor of National Library week. I absolutely love getting to design 3D papercrafts. So much of my day is spent designing on a screen, that it’s nice to take a design and get to cut, fold, and glue it into something tangible. I hope you enjoy this free printable! Craft it and take it to your local librarian and make their day!

  7. Greeting Cards

Minted is about to launch a line of greeting cards and as busy as I am, I hate to miss out on a Minted Challenge! I found some time to squeeze in a few entries. If you’d like to take a look and vote, just follow the links below! Thank you!

  8. My Mom Snaps

Several months ago, I was contacted by Darcy Jerome and Kari McGrath and asked to illustrate their children’s book. I’d been really itching to illustrate a book, so this was just the perfect opportunity.

“My Mom Snaps” follows a picture taking Mom and all the scenarios of memories she wants to preserve through photos.

  9. Minibooks

I’ve taken a long break from Minted due to busyness and what not and am trying to slowly get back in to it. I quickly designed some little minibooks for the current challenge and would love for you to vote if you have a chance!
